(From DAVID:) Drones ARE allowed in Antarctica but NOT at the South Pole!
We had our Antarctica briefing this evening. Load and go tomorrow, 18 DEC., weather permitting.
Covered lots , including Ilyushin 76 boarding (stay clear of engines) and de-planing (suit up for -20 to -40 wind chill!).
But I found this slide particularly interesting:
I probably should have brought nephew Herschel (and his drone) with me to chronicle our trip. Would it function at -20 deg. F. ?
